The APM defines contract management as the management of agreement(s) made between two or more parties that create legally binding obligations between them. The contract sets out those obligations and the actions that can be taken if they are not met.

Who is it aimed at?
The Project Contract Management Module is aimed at all those who need a good working understanding of contract management in a project context. Awareness of key contract terms and contract control is a key issue throughout most projects and is an important module for those involved in project, programme or portfolio management.
At the end of the module the learner will understand the purpose and contexts of key aspects of contract management and their important to project management. The module also provides the contract management content required for those planning to work towards a professional qualification.
